Just a few months after Dunkirk, Maunsell submitted to the Government a proposal for landing troops in quantity back on the mainland. His idea, to use huge reinforced concrete blockships and an artificial harbour, ultimately became the Mulberry Harbour concept. Contains original proposal and drawings.
