This book is the first of a multi-volume series covering the complete history of Germany's legendary World War II jet fighter, the Me262. Featured in this volume are the early Me262 concept and wind tunnel designs. This includes all of the Me262 "Versuch" or research design prototypes and the pre-production "Serein" or S-type flight test machines. Later volumes will cover production types and unusual design variants.
