Development history, unique characteristics, major modifications, data sheets and armour specifications on German Panzerjager from 3.7 cm Pak to PzSfl.Ic. This first volume covers the initial attempts to create chassis specifically designed for self-propelled anti-tank guns (which did not get into mass production) and the resulting makeshift conversions on available armoured chassis that had to be used in combat. Altogether twelve different projects are covered, starting with the real Zwischenlosung, Krupp LSK, LTrSfl, 3.7cm and 7.5 cm Sfl, PzSfl.II, 8.8 cm Flak 18 Sfl, PzSfl.IVa, Panzerjager I, 4.7cm Pak(f) auf PzKpfw 35 (p) and ending with the rare trial PzSfl.Ia and PzSfl.Ic. New as-built drawings "accurate to the same tight tolerances demanded of the original assembly firms" (according to the publisher) were created for both production series of the 4.7cm Pak(t) (Sfl) auf PzKpfw I The book is heavily illustrated with seventeen scale drawings and 67 clear/rare large-format photographs.
