The most comprehensive monograph of the Japanese Kaga aircraft
carrier, famous for participating in the attack on Pearl
Harbor
Most famous for the Pearl Harbor attack of 1941, the Kaga first
supported Japanese troops in China during the Shanghai Incident of
1932. She was later to take part in the Second Sino-Japanese War in the late
1930s, and was eventually sunk during the Battle of Midway in June 1942,
scuppered by the Japanese themselves when she was damaged beyond
repair.
This book includes descriptions of these and her other assaults, for
example lesser-known operations on the China coast before the Pacific War, and
comes complete with the Kaga’s detailed technical descriptions and with 3D
graphic and extensive plans before and after reconstruction. The first chapter
also contains the description of the Kaga’s original project as a battleship,
which was suspended pursuant to the Washington Naval Treaty.
This book is bilingual, with all text and captions in both Polish and
English.
