Volume 2 offers a complete guide to the organisation and Order of Battle of British and Commonwealth Armies in all main theatres of war: North-west Europe (including the Home Front), the Mediterranean, the Pacific and Far East, the Middle East and Africa, and Special Forces (all theatres of war). Tables of Organisation and Equipment (TOE) are given for all main and many minor types of formations in each theatre, from 7th Armoured Division in North-west Europe 1944-1945, to Indian airborne and infantry formations in the Far East, British SAS and SBS units in Europe and the Mediterranean, and British infantry formations in North-west Europe. It even includes notes on the formations and organisation planned for British forces participating in the 1946 invasions of Japan and Malaya.
