The 20th Fighter Group joined the Eighth Air Force Command in Decrmber 1943, flying the P-38 in the long range bomber escort role. The group later converted to the P-51 in July 1944. The group destroyed a total of 449 enemy aircraft during its combat tour. The book has over 150 photographs and eight pages of colour artwork.
